The prospects and number of colleges in India were limited with regard to a degree in Geology. I started searching for colleges around the world in class 11. I narrowed down to a list of 30 colleges and since this college was in the US I prioritized this college over the ones I was shortlisted in other countries like Uk and Australia. Moreover, my Maternal Aunt has her house which is quite close to my college. Thus this college was the best option for me outside India. The application fee for the online form was $70.

The fee structure was $18000. I didn't take any loans. My relatives and my parents are supporting me with my education. Thus I didn't have to take any bank loan. I got a scholarship of $3000 offered by my College. The scholarship helped ease my burden on my parents somewhat.

Thus I applied to a number of colleges in the US, UK and Australia and I was selected in this college first so I didn't wait and risk losing my admission here so I immediately took admission to this college.
